Our Health Policy:

We take the health of our kittens very seriously, so, to ensure that kittens are healthy and ready to leave for their adoptive homes, we will now:

1. Kittens will be taken to a feline only veterinarian at ages 6 weeks, 9 weeks, and 12 weeks for well kitten checks.

2. Kittens will receive their first three core vaccines at those visits, adoptive families are responsible for any others they choose.

3. If the new adoptive family wishes the kitten to be spayed/neutered when they are picked up, a fee of $150 will be added and the kitten will be required to spend up to two additional weeks with us, until fully recovered.

TrulyBlessed Himalayans and Persians:

You, as a prospective Himalayan or Persian owner might be interested in "what we do" here at TrulyBlessed Himalayan & Persians. This policies page was written for you.

To help in ease of reading, we have included subject headings so as to (not only) help you know what the following section is about, but also for ease in finding it again when you come back to this page and are wanting to look up something in particular. We ask that each prospective family read it in full as it will answer many of the questions you may have about us, and what we do to raise your baby to be the sweet companion they are.

First I would like to share this video link, as it is a good place to start and has helpful information when you are at that beginning stage of looking to adopt. It's called, "How to Choose a Cat."

Himalayan and Persians

Himalayan and Persians are best raised with lots of affection and interaction. This will all help in ensuring that they be great lifelong friends. This is how each of our kittens will have been raised in our home, and this will be expected from you, their new family. Himalayan and Persians are very people oriented cats. They do not tolerate being alone. They want, and need, the companionship of their owners. Bonding strongly to them.

They are not only known for their beauty and color, but also for their gentle easy going personality, and long coats that need to be cared for. It is my hope and suggestion that you read all you can, as careful consideration and knowledge will help you discern if the Himalayan/Persians the right breed for you. We ask that you, once again, carefully consider your decision to add one of our kittens/cats into your home as it is expected from us that it be a permanent placement.

It is our hope and goal that each of our kittens is received in a home where they will be cherished and loved.  As a steward of their care, we do our very best to ensure their health and happiness, while abiding by CFA's Breeder Code of Ethics and Christian integrity.

All of our adult cats have been tested for Feline Leukemia (FELV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), and Heart Worms.  They have all tested negative.  Our cats are not allowed outside, ever.  Because of these factors, kittens that are adopted from us do not need to be tested for FeLV or FIV.

Our kittens are adopted at 11-16 weeks.  At this time they will have been fully weaned, have acquired good litter box habits, and have had adequate socialization with their mother and siblings. Their immune system is also more developed and they will have received at least one series of their core kitten vaccinations and been dewormed.

We here at Trulyblessed have a reputation of having sweet, personable, interactive kittens, that love and seek out their family.  We also have the reputation of sending out kittens with excellent litter box habits. I'm thankful to have that testimony. That is my job in giving them a good early start (well, its Mom's too…lol).

Each litter is registered through the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA).  They each come with registration papers and an adoption gift bag.  Our kittens come from many long lines of National, Regional, Distinguished Merit, and Grand Champion cats. Much care has gone into the selective and mindful breeding of these wonderful cats.

Available Kittens:

We here at TrulyBlessed breed toward the CFA Persian Breed Standard.  We do our best to use only those cats that meet that all-important, defining Standard. We also want to have the distinction of always improving our lines and type.  When litters are born, we look at each kitten for their potential in meeting that role as a Show (Breeder) Prospect.  It can take several weeks of change and maturing before we can see what might be important to keep back.  For this reason, we do not accept deposits on young kittens. We hope and ask that you be patient as we do our best in discerning our up-and-coming Trulyblessed Persians and Himalayans.

Please know that we will let you know as soon as we can, who is available for adoption so a deposit can be placed and your kitten reserved for you.

Waiting List

We do keep a waiting list.  If what you are looking for is not available at that time, you are welcome to ask that your name be placed on a waiting list for a particular kitten, and then be notified when such becomes available.  For all prospective adoptive families, we require your full physical address, phone number and email address, so it can be added on to your contact card.  While waiting, if you find your perfect kitten from another breeder, kindly email us and we will remove your name from the waiting list.

Visiting your baby before the pick up day is at the discretion of Trulyblessed. Only ONE visit may be scheduled before picking up your kitten, after vaccines and deposits have been received and at the discretion of Trulyblessed. We have to protect the health, safety and welfare of all our kitties, first and foremost. We will provide pictures and videos, as time allows. Visits can be discussed between new adoptive families and ourselves, and then ONLY after deposit and vaccines. If a visit is scheduled, you will only be able to interact with your individual kitten. Please understand that we will always put our babies interests FIRST AND FOREMOST.

We prefer families pick up their new babies in person.  That way I can provide you with any necessary teaching on grooming and care for your baby; and be available to answer any questions you may have.

We do have a contract for all of our kittens.  Please inquire if you would like to view a sample copy.

Retired Adults (ages one and up) are $300.  This will cover their procedure, as they will be spayed/neutered before leaving.

These are kittens whose quality is for show/breeding. Prices will be discussed on an individual basis.  You will find price differences in Persian/Himalayan breeders.  This comes from location, higher/lower Vet costs, pedigree distinctions and costs of running a high quality, health priority Cattery.  Our cats all have low coefficient of inbreeding.  We feed high quality foods.  Testing for health issues is done as needed for adults and kittens alike.  Kitten/Cat areas are cooled in the summer and heated in the winter.  There are also many other expenses involved in running a cattery with intact males and females. All things considered, you will find our prices are competitive and fair, and with such, hope that you not ask us to take less.

Making Adoption Fee Payments

We do not accept personal checks (unless we know you personally). We accept postal money orders and cash.  We ask that, unless you are bringing cash the day of pick up that your final payment is made 2 weeks prior to pick up.  We will accept PayPal, but also only to people we know.

Non-Refundable Deposits:

Deposits are taken in good faith and are non-refundable!!!  The deposit is considered compensation for any loss of sales during the time the kitten is listed as reserved or sold.  To understand why we do this, please click here.

Kitten Status

We are sorry but we cannot HOLD kittens.  We do this for all the reasons I'm sure you are aware, and know, of.  These are our different kitten/cat classification you will see below each picture.

These kittens/cats that are open for adoption.

Out of courtesy for our families, we use this classification so other families know that this kitten/cat has been chosen, and we are waiting for the mail to deliver the non-refundable deposit.  (One week is allowed for its arrival.)

Kittens are reserved ONLY when a non-refundable deposit has been received.

When the adoption fee has been paid in full.
